GAiGO Students' Voices

I participated in “International bus tour” organized by Kagoshima city government as a member of volunteer staff for the first time on Nov 22.

The destination of this tour was Satsuma-Sendai city located in the northwest of the Satsuma peninsula.

This time, Gaigo’s students were in charge of bus guide, of course, in Japanese and English.
I got on the bus 3, and there were 44 people from 9 countries, German, America, China, Korean, Bhutan, Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, and Japan.

At first, I was nervous and worried about whether participants would enjoy or not.
To my honest, I thought that I couldn’t do well,
but one of them said to me,
“You always stand on the bus. Are you OK?
Well, your guide is good, and your voice carry well！”
I was glad to hear that, and I could have a little confidence in my work.
Also, all participants were so kind and cheerful that I could enjoy and do my best.

However, I felt it was difficult for me to inform them about the detail of this tour in English quickly.
So, I must learn English, and I hope I’ll be a good guide next time.
