Great time!!
I participated in the International Exchange Program as a member of the Kagoshima delegate. This program was produced by Kagoshima prefectural office, and happens once every two years. This term of program was twelve days from Oct 31 to Nov 11.
This time, it was the first time for me to go abroad, so, before the departure, I felt a little uneasy. However, when I saw the nice sky view on board, I forgot the uneasness.
In Hong Kong, there were many tall buildings, many people, good foods, and wonderful night view. It was the biggest city I have ever seen.
In Singapore, there were many foods which tasted spicy and strange, many ships on the sea, and many containers piled up at the port. Also, this country was constructing many facilities, like a Universal studio, casino, and resort. According to an interpreter, a lot of people can get work in these facilities.
All of the views were different from Japan. In the two countries, there are no earthquakes, so they can build these tall building.
Talking of food, Hong Kong food was very delicious, so I was satisfied with it. Especially, 飲茶 that is famous in china was great, and local foods that people eat in daily life were also good. On the other hand, I tried to eat traditional Hong Kong food that smelled bad, and around the shop that sells it was filled up with the smell. At the beginning, I was wondering about this strange smell, but I tried it because a Hong Kong member recommended me. It was deep-fried rotten To-fu, and dipped in a spicy source. As for the taste, it was not bad, it just smelled strong….
About Singaporean food, most foods were spicy or sweet, and it was a strange taste for me. In Singapore, chicken-rice is famous, so I had it for lunch. Off course, it was delicious. Also, when I stayed with a family, I could experience various foods. In the morning, I was taken to a place for breakfast with a shopping mall, and there were shops all over the place. I had breakfast there, but it was too heavy for me in the morning. As for dinner, I had Shabu-Shabu in the Singaporean way two times. It was different from Japanese, but it was good.
During this trip, many people took care of us, and I could have a great time thanks to a lot of people.
I appreciate them.
I’ll make good use of this great experience in the future.
