GAiGO Students' Voices

　First I would like to express my appreciation to GAIGO for recommending us to this great program.

　After finishing the Kagoshima International Youth Exchange Programme,
now there are many pictures and many things from Hong Kong and Singapore in my room as well as many wonderful memories.

　It’s like I’ve lost my presence of mind in Kagoshima….

When I look back on the five months that I prepared for this programme, I feel it passed like a flash.
　
I was able to have a great time and experience many things through this programme,
which I would never have been able to otherwise.

　Moreover, I think I developed as a person being a leader of the delegates during this programme.
By the way, I kept a diary during the days but
unfortunately I left it in H.K…

　Anyway, I as the leader I had many speeches at receptions and farewell parties.
At first, I was not able to speak well in front of people
because having a speech is unusual in my everyday life, however I had about 6 speeches in 10 days!!
So I got used to speak in public.

It was very good practice for my speech-skills.

Also, I had to give a presentation about “Double income household” in Hong Kong so I had been busy with the preparation.

To tell the truth, it was a little bit hard for me but after finishing the presentation I trust that the work was worth it.

　
　Talking of food in H.K and Singapore, it was excellent but some were oily.
Every day, we had a feast which we couldn’t eat all.
Most of our transport was a bus so it means that we didn’t walk so much.
Therefore, most of us were getting fatter day by day.

　Every time I hear the words “International Exchange”,
I imagined that it is something like a huge thing.
However, through this experience I found what International Exchange is in own way.
Basically, an international exchange is just a communication between
people and understanding each other.

We must not care about nationality, race and religion.
I could realise the way of International Exchange again.

　All in all, this program was really worth joining and I learned many many things.

I will never forget all the things that I learned through this programme
and I will cherish the friendship between
my Hong Kong and Singapore friends forever.
